January meeting recap

Hello Connect!
I can't believe we are already into the last week of January. It's been a busy month.
We met last on the 8th and had plenty of food and shared family stories. Rob led the discussion on family. The definition of family was referenced to Newadvent.org . We discussed the different kinds of challenges many families face. Challenges with parents, children, and/or spouse involving differences in beliefs, rules, distractions, electronics, communication...

Our next meeting is already next week! February 5th, the usual time, 7 PM and at the usual place, the youth room. =)
I was not able to recruit a volunteer in time to lead the discussion. So I may lead a topic if I'm able to prepare in time. But I definitely want to plan our community service events for the rest of the year. So if you have charities you want us to help, bring your ideas! Phil has booked us for Operation Sack Lunch on April 27th. I'm looking into the Ronald McDonald House in Seattle. I'd like us to participate again in the Good Karma 5k run in May.
